What is Lily Dale?
What is Lily Dale?
As I sit here on this beautiful late summer Sunday, I’m reminded of my second favorite place on the planet…the Lily Dale Assembly in Cassadaga, NY. Lily Dale is one of the oldest Spiritualist Camps in the US and the world’s largest Center for the Science, Philosophy, and the Religion of Spiritualism. Now in its 145th year, it is a calm refuge and center for healing. Whether you are seeking answers to questions, connections to your loved ones that have passed, or just some peace and time in nature, you will not be disappointed in this lovely hamlet.
I’ve had many wonderful times here! The Mediums that work and live in Lily Dale are required to qualify to offer services. From what I hear, the “vetting” process is pretty intense. I can say that I’ve always had great experiences with the mediums that I’ve chosen to sit with. During the summer season that runs from Mid-June through Labor Day, there are many classes, speakers, workshops and events to choose from. There are also daily healing services, a few restaurants, gift shops, a library, and beautiful inspiring places to wander through nature and relax. There are 2 hotels in the camp and some lovely guest houses if you choose to spend a few days there. My husband and I usually stay outside of the camp to give us time away from the energies to better assimilate our experiences! I have found that the classes that I’ve taken over the last few years have given me great guidance and encouragement in my mediumship practice.
So if you are looking to expand any of your healing practices or just want some time away from the world, I would highly recommend a journey to Lily Dale!
