The term “sacred geometry” is often used to refer to proportions, shapes, and patterns that reoccur regularly in Nature. The Ancients observed these repetitions of numerical relationships and assigned Divine significance to geometry. The Egyptians, Indians, Mayans, Celts, and Greeks were all influenced by sacred geometry they observed in the natural world and constructed buildings and monuments using sacred geometric proportions.

Plato and Pythagoras studied the Universe. They concluded and modern science confirms that the Universe has an inherent geometric design. Secrets of Geometry have been passed down through the ages by mystery schools. Behind these keys lies the mystery of Creation. Atoms, stars, flowers, even the cells in our bodies are all arranged in set geometric patterns.

There are many forms of Sacred Geometry.

The Golden Ratio appears everywhere in nature. This is regarded as a ratio of perfect proportion and divinity. The pyramids, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Parthenon, DaVinci’s Vetruvian Man, and even music by Beethoven and Mozart express this ratio.

Our body, face, and heartbeat also express it. The classic example of the Golden Ratio is seen in the chambered Nautilus and spiral shape.

Fibonacci numbers are linked to the Golden Ratio. This series is formed by adding the previous 2 numbers to the next. 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55 ad Infinitum. Sunflower seed heads, pine cones, and other plants represent these numbers in form.

The symbolism of Sacred Geometry is universal and powerful.

It is deeply rooted in our body, cell memory, and consciousness. Our DNA molecules measure 21x34 angstroms. These 2 numbers are sequential in the Fibonacci series and their ratio is 1.61904, almost the same as the Golden Ratio. Our belly button divides our body into the Golden Ratio. Each of our fingers represents the Golden Ratio. Our brain innately recognizes these Sacred Geometry forms and we have a visceral reaction to them. The symbolism of this language is much more powerful than written symbols of language.

The Five Platonic Solids are named for Plato’s extensive exploration of their significance. The only solid shapes whose faces are all identical,even-sided polygons. Plato related 4 of them to the Elements of Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. The 5th Element represents the Universe or Zodiac. A recent scientific theory posits that the Universe is in the shape of a dodecahedron. Plato also theorized that atoms had these 5 shapes. In fact, atoms are in the shape of cubes, octahedra, and dodecahedra in crystalline substances Water can arrange its molecules in icosahedral clusters.

Megalithic stone sculptures representing these 5 Platonic Solids have been found in Scotland. These precede Plato by at least 1,000 years!!

Crystal structure and sacred geometry are not always obvious to the naked eye but can be observed through a microscope. Some crystals display their molecular structure in their shape. Quartz, apophyllite, and tourmaline for example.

Others are more massive in form but have a crystal structure. Mookaite Jasper is a good example.
